THE STORY OF MELLYKREATIONS
My name is Melanie, and I grew up in the vibrant and stunning Waianae, on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. My childhood was a canvas splattered with artistic brilliance. My mother, a masterful landscape oil painter, was a beacon of creativity. Even after her passing, I discovered her legacy extended to designing t-shirts for Krazy Shirts of Hawaii—a testament to her boundless artistic spirit. My uncle Jose carved mesmerizing tiki sculptures, my uncle Celis transformed gourds into captivating works of art, and my aunt Nita’s oil paintings echoed the same passion that flowed through our family.
From a young age, I was immersed in art, constantly sketching and, as I grew older, experimenting with acrylics and airbrushing. I dabbled in screen printing and continued to explore new mediums. Recently, I have ventured into the digital realm, where my art finds new expression and limitless possibilities.
Art has always been my heart’s calling, though I initially pursued skills in computer science, finance, real estate, and business administration—believing these would lay a solid foundation for future success. Yet, the truth is, art is my true passion. I can lose myself in a piece for hours, even days, each stroke a reflection of the beauty and love that fuels my spirit.
I am driven by the mantra, “Do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life.” I’ve never shied away from hard work, believing that living each day to its fullest leaves little room for regret. I admire those who thrive financially while living their dream, and this website is my earnest attempt to embrace that dream. I hope to share my passion with others, and with your support, to one day dedicate myself fully to my art.
